About
Established in 2021, the Center for Clinical Research (CCR) operates as a dynamic division of the JCMLRI – John C. Martin Centre for Liver Research and Innovations. While rooted in excellence in gastroenterology and hepatology, CCR’s research scope extends far beyond, encompassing a broad spectrum of therapeutic areas through a growing network of expert clinical investigators from diverse specialties.
We are committed to advancing both regulatory clinical trials and academic research, supporting innovation across the clinical development continuum. Our goal is to bridge the gap between science and society by fostering evidence generation that is timely, ethical, and impactful.
Our affiliated institution, the Indian Institute of Liver and Digestive Sciences (IILDS), is a NABH-certified, 100-bed not-for-profit hospital equipped with critical care facilities. It stands as a pillar of healthcare delivery, education, and research. JCMLRI is recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India.
Ethical oversight is ensured through the Human Research Ethics Committee, IILDS (HREC-IILDS)—registered with both CDSCO and DHR, Government of India.
Operating with moderate administrative autonomy, CCR-JCMLRI is equipped to rapidly initiate and execute clinical trial projects, whether regulatory or academic, in full compliance with national and international standards, including ICH-GCP and other applicable guidelines.
Located in the south-eastern outskirts of Kolkata, our center is housed within the Indian Institute of Liver and Digestive Sciences, Sitala East, Sonarpur, Kolkata – 700150.
Whether your goal is to generate high-quality clinical evidence or advance innovative therapeutic solutions, CCR-JCMLRI is your trusted partner in research.
